Freedom Ford Cares
We're Proud to Support
Supporting survivors in our community
Freedom Ford Proudly Supports the Sexual Assault Centre of Edmonton
Since 1975, the Sexual Assault Centre of Edmonton (SACE) has been a lifeline for those affected by sexual violence, providing a safe space for people of all ages, genders, and backgrounds to find healing and support without judgment. Freedom Ford is proud to join Waterloo Ford, Sherwood Buick GMC, Rally Subaru, Subaru City, Toyota Northwest, and Sherwood Park Toyota in donating $85,000 to the Sexual Assault Centre of Edmonton on behalf of the Pat and Diana Priestner Family.
SACE provides critical support, advocacy, counselling, education, and a 24-hour support line for individuals affected by sexual violence. Through this donation, we hope to help SACE continue offering trauma-informed care and essential resources to survivors across Edmonton.
Helping women and children find safety
Freedom Ford Supports the Wings of Providence WINGMAN Campaign
For the second year in a row, Freedom Ford is proud to support the Wings of Providence WINGMAN Campaign alongside Waterloo Ford.
Wings of Providence provides safe housing, support, and resources for women and children escaping domestic violence. Last year we had donated $30,000 to their incredible campaign - and this year, we are honoured to contribute $40,000 to help support their important work and the families who rely on their care.
Helping families feel at home during difficult times
Freedom Ford Proudly Supports Ronald McDonald House Charities Alberta
Freedom Ford is proud to support Ronald McDonald House Charities Alberta and the incredible work they do for families with seriously ill or injured children.
Each year, our team has the opportunity to visit Ronald McDonald House and help prepare dinner for the families staying there. It is a small way for us to give back, provide comfort, and support parents and children during an incredibly challenging time.
We are grateful to continue supporting an organization that helps keep families close when they need it most.
A Legacy of Care and Compassion
In the demanding world of retail automotive, mental health often takes a back seat. The challenges faced by dealership teams, especially during the pandemic, highlighted the critical need for support and understanding.
Pat Priestner, our founder, recognized this need and turned his personal reflections into action. Originally written as a heartfelt memoir for his children and grandchildren, Notes for the Children shares Pat's journey of overcoming personal and professional challenges while prioritizing mental well-being. Drawing from over 50 years in the retail automotive industry, he candidly addresses his struggles, lessons learned, and the practices that helped him navigate life's ups and downs.
Today, Pat visits our dealerships to share these experiences firsthand, fostering conversations around mental health and personal growth. His book is a blend of personal stories and practical advice—a testament to the transformative power of small, meaningful changes.
All proceeds from Notes for the Children will go to charities that support well-being across Canada, helping to extend the impact of his message beyond our organization.
